Quick tips: selecting a personal trainer
- Qualifications: Find someone with a degree, preferably in Exercise Physiology but Sport Science will suffice.
- Experience: Ensure your PT has at least 5 years experience. We make so many mistakes in our first five years… And you don’t want to be someone else’s experience.
- Certifications: Ideally your PT should have an Australian Strength & Conditioning Association certificate. This should be a Level 2 or Level 3.
- Registration: You want to work with a PT who is registered with the peak body (ESSA) of the profession.
